UZH Print Plus 4Guests

"UZH Print Plus 4Guests" allows guests of the UZH (not UZH members) to use the multifunctional devices installed at various locations. For printing and copying, sufficient prepaid credit is required which can be topped up via the online shop. Scans are free of charge.

It enables printing from a workstation (even without a personal login, e.g. from public workstations in the libraries), printing from a USB-stick, copying as well as scanning on a USB-stick. ScanToMail is only possible after the first loading of credit.

Chargeable:

The following functions of the multifunction devices can be used with "UZH Print Plus 4Guests":

• Creation and copies using with function Copy
• Printing from public workstations Printing with Card-ID
• Printout documents from USB-stick using with function Access to saved data

Free:

• Scanning documents on the USB-stick using with function Scan and Save
• The use of "Scanning and Send" is only possible after the first loading of credit Scan and Send

Print4Guests cards can be obtained from the participating issuing offices (libraries) Card Purchase Locations. The location overview also shows which payment options are available for obtaining the cards. 

Issuing point with payment option

Cards can be purchased at the relevant issuing points against payment of CHF 10. CHF 5 is charged for the purchase of the card and CHF 5 is then available as effective credit. The cards are ready for use immediately. There is no possibility to reload the cards there, this is only possible online. (See section "Loading credit")

Issue point without payment option

A card number can be obtained at the relevant issuing points. The card number must be used to load the card with at least CHF 10 (see section "Loading credit"), whereby CHF 5 will be charged for the purchase of the card and CHF 5 will then be available as actual credit. The Print4Guests card can then be collected from the issuing office from which the card number was obtained. The issuing office will only issue the card if the credit balance is at least CHF 5. The Print4Guests card is then immediately ready for use.
