Laptop
Personal laptop with the latest operating system (Windows or macOS).

Latest version of Firefox or Chrome.
Safe Exam Browser (SEB)
Special requirements apply.
Internet connection
- For exams from home: stable internet access required
- For on-site exams: WLAN “uzh-5GHz” is recommended. Be sure to set up access before the exam (accept certificates when logging in for the first time, if necessary).
Login
Have your Switch eduID login details ready.
- Note: For SEB exams with OLAT, saved passwords (e.g., in your browser or keychain) cannot be used.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Have your smartphone ready before the exam begins.
- SEB exams with OLAT: 2FA is always required
- All other online exams: 2FA may be required
Code of honor
For OLAT exams: Confirmation of the code of honor is required before the exam begins
- For Inspera exams: Consent is given automatically when the exam begins
