Videoconferencing Apps: Teams and Zoom

The video conferencing apps Teams and Zoom are available at UZH.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is particularly suitable for internal online meetings within UZH:

  • With an A5 license, up to 1,000 participants can take part in a meeting.
  • With an A1 license, the maximum number of participants is 300.

Zoom

Zoom is suitable for conducting seminars and lectures in teaching. UZH Zoom allows meetings with up to 300 participants. For larger events, a limited number of licenses (500, 1000, or 3000 participants) are available upon request. 

Videoconferencing at Work

To ensure good voice quality at your workplace, please always use a headset.
Avoid using built-in microphones and speakers.

Videoconferencing in the Meeting Room

Videoconferencing equipment is available in the meeting rooms, tailored to the size and acoustics of the room. Please note:

  • Connect the device to your personal computer via USB.
  • Before starting the meeting in Teams or Zoom, select the correct settings for the microphone, speakers, and camera.
