Manage passwords in Identity Manager
Identity Manager allows you to manage your passwords for many UZH IT services, such as semester registration, module booking, Microsoft 365 (M365), and e-learning.
Accessing Identity Manager and logging in
- Access Identity Manager:
www.identity.uzh.ch - Log in with your primary email address (sender address) and password.
Notes:
- When you log in for the first time, you must change your initial password:

If that doesn't work:

- Use the walk-in service
(Schönberggasse 2, Mon–Fri 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.)
Change Password
- In Identity Manager, click on «Change password».
- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password.
- Please note the four password rules:
- At least 8 characters
- At least one number
- At least one special character
- Upper and lower case letters
- Click on «Submit».
Note:
This Identity Manager password is also used to change other accounts in Identity Manager.
Select IT Services
Select the services for which you want to change your password, e.g.:
- Active Directory
- Identity Management
- or all services
